Work with the home of the PIA

PIA·IE is the dedicated Irish resource for the Personal Investment Account: the rules ledger, the provider tracker, the calculator and the guides savers will read before they open an account in 2027.

Who reads this site

Irish savers and investors who intend to open a Personal Investment Account when it launches — people already searching for how the tax works, what it replaces, and who will offer it. They arrive through our guides on deemed disposal, ETF tax and DIRT, use the comparison calculator, and join the waitlist to be told the moment accounts open.

This is the highest-intent audience in the Irish retail investment market between now and launch day: readers who have already decided to invest and are choosing where.

What we publish

AssetWhat it is
PIA rules ledgerA versioned, sourced record of every confirmed, proposed and undecided account rule — published as a page and as an open JSON API under CC BY 4.0.
Provider readiness trackerWhat each of the 23 credible candidate firms has said in public about offering the account, dated and sourced.
Savings vs PIA calculatorProjects deposit, fund and PIA outcomes side by side using current Irish tax rules.
Tax guidesPlain-English explainers on the taxes the account replaces: exit tax, deemed disposal and DIRT.
Provider comparisonFees, minimums and holdings — rebuilt with real terms as firms confirm their offerings.

For firms that will offer the account

If your firm plans to offer the Personal Investment Account, the useful first step is the tracker: tell us your position and we will publish it, dated and attributed. Firms on the record first will be the ones savers and journalists reference at launch.

When accounts open, our provider pages and calculator will send readers to the firms they choose. We are happy to discuss referral and partnership arrangements ahead of launch so everything is in place on day one.

Our editorial independence is fixed: commercial arrangements never affect rankings, tracker entries or guide content, and any commercial relationship is disclosed on the page. Rankings follow a published methodology.

For journalists and researchers

The rules ledger and provider tracker are published under CC BY 4.0 — reuse them freely with attribution to PIA·IE. The ledger is also available as a machine-readable JSON API for data journalism and research. For comment or data requests, email press@personalinvestmentaccounts.ie.
